Upgraded RC BAE Hawk Red Arrows

Got this new upgraded Outrunner motor from my Sapac Supplier :), Now that EDF Power of my old bird is upgraded, it is less noisy and new motor produces more air compression inside the body for better power :) slow for me now though cuz I fly fastest Nitro Cessna 182 Skyline. Still love BAE Hawk :)

I upgraded with new …
I upgraded with new motor that sapac provided something they say that is 4200KV or 4500kv I forgot the actual specs. I use 30A Esc and 3 Cell 11.1v 2200mAh Battery. I can't get vertical climb with it :( but plane flies better then ever :) and climb rate is good. I'd suggest don't push the motor to limits, they do fry :D

Hey Ali, what motor …
Hey Ali, what motor did you upgrade to? I upgraded mine with a 40 amp esc and am using 4s 2000 mah battery with same motor. EJF said I will get vertical with this configuration. I will have video this weekend. But back to your plane. Can you get vertical with the new motor?

I'd recommend …
I'd recommend trying a 4 channel trainer slow flyer first. I bet you will crash this one right after take off or on landing. it happens to all red arrow flyers who flew it first time. So if you love your Red arrows, please learn all about Ducted jets and how they behave before flying, else I can say RIP To your plane in advance. Practice on Real flight G3 and on real 4 Channel Trainer planes first mate. happy flying.

8 minutes on normal …
8 minutes on normal throttle. 6 minutes full throttle and 10 to 14 minutes if you climb, glide climb glide ;)

Well I don't get …
Well I don't get into these tech things as far as I can use them well. We say, don't count trees when eating fruits :D get it :)
The new Outrunner motor 4000kv is specially designed by the same company and they have designed it to fit perfectly in the same old duct with same fan. Nothing needs to be changed, just get a new motor and its snug fits perfectly in old setup :D

As excellent as …
As excellent as your Cessna 182 is, I somehow find ducted fans more appealing, as its as close as you can get to a jet turbine without spending a fortune! ;-)
Definitely quieter with the upgrade, very very silky smooth high-speed flybys too! An outrunner must have needed a special mounting to the standard inrunner probably? I'm not sure why outrunners are more powerful than inrunners (for the same kV rating the outrunner somehow has more power??)
