Single Flight of the Yellow Bee
Yet another video of my extremely damaged Yellow Bee flying around. Medical tape and a 12" aluminum rod hold 4 pieces of the wing together, and hot glue gun glue holds pieces of the fuselage together. I use it as my windy day flyer, hence all the damage. The plane may break easily, but it sure can fly!

Couldn't be happier with the yellow bee, takes a noob lickin and keeps on glidin. Great buy for the first time flyer, the only down side is that it is only 2 channel and has no ailerons or rudder, although their are some available in the same"rod" style for a fwe extra bucks that have em!

3 hours when …
3 hours when completely drained. Otherwise, charge until the battery feels warm. It's good to peak the battery by charging it for about 15 min before flying. You get considerable more flight time that way.

How is it breaking …
How is it breaking in mid-air? You should tape it up more. From what I've seen, a little bit of packing tape will really hold those wings together nicely. Keep in mind, this video is showing a Yellow Bee that has its wing broken in like 6 different places, and it still flies great.

I got a pack of 3 …
I got a pack of 3 at a local hobby shop for about $1.50. I just found the lightest ones that seemed like it would be able absorb some of the impact force and not break. My Yellow Bee has actually been out of commission for the past 2 months. It doesn't fly right anymore, most likely because the tail and wings have both been broken in at least 20 places each. If you crash head-on into the ground at 30mph, even an aluminum rod won't help…

I really like the YB montage. My Dad gave me his YB and I have crashed it several time. I recently broke the fuselage rod. Where did you get the Aluminum rod you repaired yours with ? I can't find a website that has replacement parts other than props.
